Eduardo Torres Acosta Versante Nord Terre Siciliane is a distinguished red from a rapidly-growing Sicilian producer is a blend of the qualities of a pinot noir and nebbiolo, with red-berry fruit, leather, and spice combined with firm, balanced tannins and a medium-bodied finish.
Eduardo Torres Acosta was born on the island of Tenerife and learned the field of oenology/viticulture in Italy. He then spent four years in Sri Lanka harvesting Ariana Okkipinti and as an oenologist at Passopisharo’s farm.
In parallel, Torres Acosta rented a total of two hectares of old vineyards located on the northern slope of Etna (600-800m) and of various soils, mainly volcanic ash and rich in stones.
His winemaking philosophy includes minimal intervention to create wines that mirror Etna's terrain—including only emergency sulfite use and bottling in accordance with the moon's phases.
