Fantini's acclaimed wine, Fantini Edizione Cinque Autoctoni N.V. began as an endeavor to prove that excellence and complexity could be achieved with only regional grapes.

Released in 1998, it's a blend of 5 native varietals sourced from Abruzzo & Puglia: Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Negroamaro, Malvasia, and Primitivo. It has a deep garnet hue and a powerful and sustained bouquet, with aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, liquorice, and hints of minerality.

This wine boasts great structure, an exquisite balance between strength and acidity, soft tannins, and a prolonged aftertaste.
