Sustainability

Sourced from carefully selected Chassagne parcels farmed with low chemical input; gentle pressing and barrel elevage to emphasise texture.

Tasting notes

Lifted aromas of ripe peach and lemon oil are framed by notes of toasted hazelnut and smoky flint. The palate is concentrated yet controlled, with generous stone fruit wrapped around a spine of citrus and chalky minerality. Fine oak adds spice and texture without overwhelming the fruit. The finish is long and savoury.

Serving temperature

Serve at 10-13 °C

Food pairings

Ideal with lobster and rich cream-sauced fish. For Asian/Singaporean cuisine, try it with butter or salted-egg prawns, Japanese teppanyaki scallops, or Cantonese roast goose.

Awards & recognition

Haisma's Chassagne bottlings often receive high scores in Burgundy reports, highlighted for over-delivering on concentration and finesse.

Mark Haisma Chassagne-Montrachet is a classic village expression that balances generous orchard fruit and subtle savoury notes with a mineral drive that keeps everything in check.

Winemaking is tuned for texturegentle pressing and controlled fermentation preserve definition, then a measured élevageoften leaning on older barrelsadds breadth and spice without masking the wine's clarity.

Mark's preferred growers tend vineyards with a conscientious mindset, aligning with a lower-input approach that supports healthier soils and more transparent flavour in the glass.

Mark Haisma's backstory reads like a Burgundy love letter: an Australian who moved from passionate consumer to hands-on creator, crafting wines through long-term grower relationships and an exacting, modern palate.
