Matthieu Barret Cote du Rhone Petit Ours Rouge has a very expressive nose with layers of blackberry and black cherry fruit. The palate has smooth and well-integrated tannins with juicy black fruit and a touch of black pepper on the finish.

Matthieu Barret is a renowned winemaker and owner of the Domaine du Coulet winery in the Cornas appellation of the Northern Rhône region in France. He is known for his exceptional biodynamic wines, particularly his Syrah-based cuvées.

Matthieu Barret comes from a winemaking family, and he took over the family estate in 1998. However, he chose to pursue a more natural and sustainable approach to winemaking. He converted his vineyards to biodynamic practices, which involves working in harmony with nature and respecting the rhythms of the earth and the cosmos.

At Domaine du Coulet, Matthieu Barret cultivates his vineyards without the use of synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides. He employs traditional methods, including hand-harvesting and gentle winemaking techniques, to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of Cornas.
