A complex and elegant Cote-Rotie from the south-facing terraced Bassenon vineyard on the Cote Blonde, blending Syrah with 10% Viognier on gneiss soils. The bouquet opens with fresh red berries and delicate floral hints, evolving into intensely fragrant aromas of roasted coffee, licorice, and black pepper. The palate offers silky smoothness with fine tannins, balanced acidity, and a tangy mineral lift. Eighteen months of oak aging adds structure, finishing with lingering notes of blackberry and subtle spice.
