Tasting notes

Deep red garnet with brilliant ruby highlights. Extraordinarily complex bouquet of liqueur-soaked cherry, blackberry, and prune with delicate notes of eucalyptus, menthol, and violets layered over medicinal herbs and spice. The palate is monumental and powerful, with concentrated flavours of red roses, dark chocolate, and tobacco, supported by firm acidity and granular tannins of exceptional quality. Grand and muscular, with a magnificent finish of spice, dark fruit, and mineral intensity that lingers for minutes.

Cordero Di Montezemolo Barolo Enrico Vi DOCG is an expressive bottling that brings together ripe berry fruit, a subtle earthy undertone and refined tannins. In the cellar, vinification is geared toward balance: extraction is kept measured to preserve finesse, then the wine is matured in oak and/or neutral vessels to knit tannins and build complexity without masking fruit. Nebbiolo is handled with patient maceration and a long, slow maturation that builds aromatic complexity and a firm, age-worthy structure. Wherever possible, vineyard work is guided by sustainable principles, with attention to soil vitality, biodiversity and careful farming decisions that support long-term vineyard health. The producer behind this wine focuses on site expression and consistency, crafting small-lot bottlings that prioritise balance, clarity and a strong sense of place. (Cordero Di Montezemolo).
