Alvaro Palacios Les Terrasses is a distinctive wine that brings together layers of red and black fruit, gentle earthy nuance and refined tannins.

Winemaking is tuned for definition rather than heaviness, with careful fermentation and a patient maturation—often involving oak—to polish structure and extend the finish.

Sustainability is approached through responsible viticulture and thoughtful sourcing, favouring healthier vineyards and lower-impact practices so the wine can be made with minimal corrective intervention.

This winery's approach blends regional tradition with modern precision, aiming to translate vineyard character into wines with clarity and personality.

Wine details

15% ABV - 750 ml - Priorat DOCa, Catalonia, Spain

Sustainability

Organic and biodynamic viticulture with Demeter certification on estate vineyards, mule-ploughed steep slopes without chemicals, all grapes hand-harvested from llicorella slate terraces, and committed to preserving Priorat's traditional Garnacha heritage through old-vine restoration

Tasting notes

Deep garnet red with ruby reflections. Complex and evocative nose of graphite, ripe raspberry, and violet with elegant oak spice and earthy slate undertones. Medium to full-bodied palate with silky, well-structured tannins and a core of concentrated dark fruit. The Garnacha delivers warmth and generosity while the Cariñena adds backbone and mineral tension. Gentle and honest expression of traditional Priorat with clean, harmonious balance. Long finish with lingering graphite, dark berry, and subtle herbal complexity.
