Sustainability

Non-interventionist winemaking philosophy on a 1000-hectare estate with minimal chemical use, co-founded International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA) to lower carbon emissions, and micro-cru vineyard management preserving diverse terroir across 92 hectares of Tuscan vineyards

Tasting notes

Deep opaque ruby with purple-black core. Seductive nose of warm blackberry, blackcurrant, and candied violets with complex layers of dark chocolate, wild herbs, and red leather. The palate is richly saturated and silky, with extraordinary density and volume, featuring plush flavours of ripe plum, mocha, and dusty earth. Velvety and multi-layered, with a persistently long finish of milk chocolate, liquorice, and blueberry that unfolds elegantly.

Serving temperature

Serve at 16-18 °C

Food pairings

Braised beef short ribs with truffle mash, grilled venison loin with blackberry sauce, porcini mushroom risotto with shaved truffle, aged Pecorino with chestnut honey, roasted duck confit with cherry reduction

Awards & recognition

Rated 96 points by James Suckling - 'Soft and seductive with fine velvet texture, dark-berry and chocolate complexity'

See something above that needs correcting? Let us know.

Arcanum Valadorna Super Tuscan is an expressive bottling that brings together ripe berry fruit, a subtle earthy undertone and refined tannins.

In the cellar, vinification is geared toward balance: extraction is kept measured to preserve finesse, then the wine is matured in oak and/or neutral vessels to knit tannins and build complexity without masking fruit. Sustainability is approached through responsible viticulture and thoughtful sourcing, favouring healthier vineyards and lower-impact practices so the wine can be made with minimal corrective intervention.

Driven by a commitment to craftsmanship, the winery's work centres on thoughtful viticulture and patient maturation, producing wines that earn attention for their poise and personality.
