Casarena Jamilla Single Vineyard Malbec is an expressive red built around Malbec character, with dark berry fruit, savoury spice and a structured, polished finish.

For Malbec, fermentation is managed to keep fruit clarity and plush texture, then maturation that may include oak is used to add spice and shape while smoothing the finish.

The philosophy behind the wine supports environmentally mindful farming practices, prioritising vine health and fruit integrity as the foundation for transparent flavour.

Made by a quality-focused team, the wine reflects a commitment to thoughtful viticulture and measured maturation, with an emphasis on sense of place over heavy-handed winemaking. It reflects a producer-led mindset, with the leadership focused on patient improvements in the vineyard and a restrained, detail-first approach in the cellar.

Tasting notes

Deep, brilliant purple-red with inky core. Complex and captivating nose of ripe plum, dark cherry, and red fruit with subtle tobacco notes from 18 months in new French oak. Hints of violet, mineral stone, and subtle floral character add intrigue. Full-bodied and unctuous on the palate with extraordinary concentration and elegant structure. The alluvial boulder soils of Perdriel impart a distinctive stony mineral quality. Silky tannins frame layers of dark fruit and spice leading to an exceptionally long, persistent finish with remarkable purity and depth.
