Tasting notes

A rich and full-bodied Crozes-Hermitage from the Malfondière plot south of Tain l'Hermitage, crafted from 100% Syrah. Deep black-fruit notes dominate the nose with substantial ripeness and complexity. The palate delivers high-toned red and black fruit with velvety tannins, supported by fine acidity that provides freshness and balance. Sixteen months of barrel aging with native yeast fermentation builds layers of depth, finishing with excellent length and a savoury mineral undertone.

Serving temperature

Serve at 16-18 °C

Food pairings

Braised lamb shanks, beef fillet, wild mushroom risotto, aged Comte; Asian pairings: Peking duck, Japanese beef teriyaki, Korean galbi short ribs, Thai massaman beef curry
