E. Foradori Teroldego Rotaliano, in its own gift box, is grown on the alluvial Campo Rotaliano plain in Trentino, the ancestral home of Italy's Teroldego grape.

The wine ferments spontaneously with native yeasts, in keeping with Elisabetta Foradori's minimal-intervention philosophy, then matures in neutral, large-format vessels that let the grape's dark-fruited, mineral character speak for itself.

The entire estate has been certified biodynamic since the early 2000s, farmed without synthetic chemicals and guided by the rhythms of the land rather than the market.

Elisabetta took over the family estate in 1984 at just twenty, after her father's sudden death, and spent decades reviving old, overlooked Teroldego vines through careful massal selection, turning a once-undervalued grape into one of Italy's most celebrated reds.

Wine details

13% ABV - 750 ml - Teroldego Rotaliano DOC

Sustainability

Foradori has farmed biodynamically since 2002, following the Demeter biodynamic calendar for all vineyard work, using only preparations based on cow manure and plant-based composts, and ploughing by horse to protect the delicate alluvial soil structure of Campo Rotaliano.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby-garnet with aromas of dark cherry, wild blueberry, crushed violet, and flinty mineral notes from Campo Rotaliano's distinctive gravelly alluvial soils. Biodynamic farming since 2002 and large Slavonian oak casks deliver a purity and textural depth rare at this level. Juicy dark fruit, lively acidity, fine tannins, and a long mineral finish.

Serving temperature

Serve at 16-18 °C

Food pairings

Roasted venison, wild boar ragù, aged Trentino cheeses, mushroom and truffle risotto; Asian pairings: red-braised pork belly, roasted duck with plum sauce, Sichuan beef stew, Japanese grilled wagyu with ponzu
