True to the free spirit of Maison Perrier-Jouët, Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé is a resolutely original champagne which combines rarity with the ability to surprise. First created in 1978, it is crafted only in exceptional years and produced in extremely limited quantities.
“Like all our vintage cuvées, Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé needs to be enjoyed in a leisurely manner,” says Séverine Frerson, the winery's cellar master. “I would savour it with a meal, in a warm, convivial ambiance that reflects its character.” Ideal pairings include salmon or tuna cooked on one side only, salmon with cranberry sauce, pigeon or thinly sliced duck breast.
A brilliant, pale salmon-pink with vivid orange glints, this Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Rosé 2013 exhibits aromas of strawberry, peony, and tart kumquat and white currant. On the palate, a medley of pink grapefruit and mandarin melds with a hint of brioche for a luxurious finish.
