To the eye, it appears pale gold with hints of green, delightfully lively, luminous champagne. It has a nice aroma of hedgerow flowers – elderberry, acacia and honeysuckle – and tangy citrus. Its palate has a lingering freshness with a surprisingly smooth, mellow finish.
"Perrier-Jouet Blanc de Blancs reminds me of velvet – not a heavy velvet, but one with a silky texture", says Severine Frerson, the cellar master in Perrier Jouet. "That’s because, although it is a very vivacious, dynamic cuvée, it also has substance and density – and, of course, great elegance."
