Sustainability

Sustainable viticulture practices with reduced chemical usage, biodiversity enhancement, and natural resource conservation across 80 hectares of precision-farmed Montalcino vineyards

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red with garnet highlights developing at the rim. Complex and evolving bouquet of ripe wild berries, anise, and vanilla with layers of tobacco, leather, and toasted notes. The palate is warm and full-bodied with dense, velvety tannins and flavours of dark cherry, bitter cocoa, and earthy mineral. Great structure and persistence with a long finish of spice and dried fruit suggesting considerable ageing capacity.

Serving temperature

Serve at 16-18 °C

Food pairings

Bistecca alla Fiorentina, slow-braised osso buco with gremolata, roasted venison with juniper berries, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano with balsamic; Asian pairings: braised beef short ribs with star anise, Sichuan peppercorn roasted duck, Japanese wagyu yakiniku, lamb biryani

Awards & recognition

Rated 93 points by Jeb Dunnuck - 'Powerful red with fleshy aromas of red plum, leather, and balsamic with gripping tannins'

See something above that needs correcting? Let us know.

Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello Di Montalcino Docg is a finely balanced wine shaped by dark fruit depth, savoury spice and a structured, polished finish.

The wine is vinified with a controlled, site-first approach, then matured to integrate texture and savoury nuance without obscuring the fruit's character. Expect a more patient, structured expression, shaped by extended maturation that builds complexity and a graceful, age-worthy frame.

Sustainability is approached through responsible viticulture and thoughtful sourcing, favouring healthier vineyards and lower-impact practices so the wine can be made with minimal corrective intervention.

This winery's approach blends regional tradition with modern precision, aiming to translate vineyard character into wines with clarity and personality.
