Tasting notes

Deep ruby red with brilliant garnet reflections. Profoundly complex nose of dark cherry, blackberry, and dried plum with nuances of vanilla, mushroom, and dark chocolate. Hints of rosemary, lavender, and toasted bread emerge with air. The palate is full-bodied and richly structured, with concentrated flavours of red plum, sour cherry, and liquorice, supported by firm, elegant tannins and vibrant acidity. Extraordinarily long finish with notes of coffee, earth, and sweet spice.

Serving temperature

Serve at 16-18 °C

Food pairings

Braised beef cheeks with Brunello reduction, roasted saddle of venison with blackcurrant sauce, white truffle tajarin, aged Castelmagno cheese; Asian pairings: five-spice braised pork belly, Peking duck with plum sauce, miso-glazed wagyu, tandoori lamb chops

See something above that needs correcting? Let us know.

Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello Di Montalcino Vigneto Manachiara Docg is an expressive release built around layers of red and black fruit, gentle earthy nuance and refined tannins.

In the cellar, the aim is balance and detail: fermentation is managed for purity, extraction is kept measured, and maturation in oak helps knit tannins while adding subtle complexity. Expect a more patient, structured expression, shaped by extended maturation that builds complexity and a graceful, age-worthy frame.

Sustainability is approached through responsible viticulture and thoughtful sourcing, favouring healthier vineyards and lower-impact practices so the wine can be made with minimal corrective intervention.

The producer behind this label focuses on site expression and consistency, crafting wines that feel authentic, balanced and quietly distinctive.
