Vino Volta Methode Ancestrale “Pet Nat”, 2020 Chenin Blanc has a creamy, bright, flavoursome style with lemony-green apple and saline character of the variety with some faint nutty-savouriness underlying. Has some bright acidity tugging through that creamier face of fizz. It’s a good example, has that funk but also the freshness and general good times gist.
The vision is to reinvent and reestablish connections with the wines and vineyards of Swan Valley. The wines seem to marry a creative flair with some serious technical know-how. Here’s a pet nat, an en vogue style out of Swan’s often overlooked resources.
