Why this case

France and Italy make many of the world’s best-loved wines, and this case puts them side by side. Taste a Chablis next to a Soave, then a Bordeaux next to a Valpolicella and a Primitivo, and you will soon find the style you like best. A Provence rosé rounds it off as the aperitif.

These are easy-drinking, food-friendly wines for dinners at home, from salads and seafood to pasta, grilled meats and local favourites. Every wine is handpicked, and the case comes with an extra 5% off, on top of already marked-down prices.

How to enjoy this case

  • Open them in pairs: the case is three France-and-Italy matches, so you can taste the two countries side by side.
  • Crisp whites: Vincent Dampt Chablis (Chardonnay, Burgundy) with Masi Levarie Soave (Garganega, Veneto). Both are fresh and unoaked; the Chablis is the more mineral and zesty, the Soave rounder and softer.
  • Easy reds: Les Éclats de Branas (Merlot and Cabernet, Bordeaux) with Masi Bonacosta Valpolicella (Corvina, Veneto). The Bordeaux is firmer and more structured, the Valpolicella lighter, with bright cherry fruit.
  • Sunny and generous: Château Roubine rosé from Provence with Rosa del Golfo Primitivo from Puglia, both made for warm evenings and grilled food.
  • Serving: whites and rosé well chilled; give the reds 15 to 20 minutes in the fridge before opening, as Singapore room temperature is too warm for red wine.
