Cabernet Franc is the aromatic, finer-boned parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, and one of wine's great supporting players. In Bordeaux it brings perfume and freshness to the blends of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, while in the Loire Valley it shines on its own. About Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc, one of Bordeaux’s original red grapes, thrives in the Loire Valley and across the globe. Often blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, it also shines on its own. Cabernet Franc offers captivating aromas of red berry, graphite, bell pepper, violets, and herbs, all supported by fresh acidity and moderate tannins.

It is admired for lighter body and greater aromatic finesse compared to Cabernet Sauvignon. Loire styles, especially from Chinon and Saumur, are known for elegance and food-friendly profiles. Modern expressions are increasingly produced worldwide, highlighting its adaptability.
